"Devoted Thoughts about Dogs" by Plee (Penny Tucker) is a wonderful little handmade book with a soft wrap-around leather cover of natural taupe--suede side out--a contrasting tie and small metal paw print charm used as a latch. The small book is 2-1/2" x 3" x 3/4" closed and latched, 7" x 3" x 2-1/4" open and laid flat. It consists of six hand stitched 10 page signatures and two decorative end papers for a total of sixty-two pages of adorable dog images and quotes from assorted people including Elizabeth Taylor and Charles De Gaulle. Photos and quotes are on warm ecru paper and each signature has translucent pages of white silk threaded mulberry and natural speckled kozo Asian accent papers.
